Our delegation visits Dr Gordon Reid MP

Updated: May 26

On 22nd August our team put forward a convincing case for using the disused Kincumber tip as a site for a large community battery, capable of servicing multiple houses in the 2251 postcode.

This, of course, will rely on Council's co-operation. We have learnt that Council is in the process of reviewing future possibilities for the tip. So time is precious!

To this end a committee with a representative from Avoca, Copacabana and Macmasters Beach, approached Dr Gordon Reid, MP for Robertson. Dr Reid offered his enthusiastic support and is willing to approach Council on our behalf.

He has asked that we make individual representations to his Electorate Office. Dr Reid could not stress enough the importance of receiving letters of support from the broader community. This gives him the evidence required to properly represent our interests when he meets with council, hopefully resulting in council agreeing to allow our use of this land. This first step could be crucial to the campaign.

This is one of those asap things!

If you'd like to make a representation to help us please head over to our Facebook page for details. Thanks in advance!
