Community PowerShare Receives ACNC Registration

The Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) has recently granted Community PowerShare Ltd registration as a charity.

In a rigorous process that has taken many months, the ACNC has examined CPS’s documents and governance and agreed that Community PowerShare is a not-for-profit entity acting for the community and the environment.

The ACNC has ongoing monitoring and compliance requirements to ensure that CPS continues to adhere to the proper governance and reporting required to maintain charitable status.

From the perspective of Community PowerShare Limited, our ACNC registration opens several potential funding opportunities, and reinforces that our mission and governance benefit the community.

Community PowerShare continues to pursue various sources of funds to bring our vision to life, and to establish what we believe could be Australia’s largest community-owned battery.
